  • Sharbat” (also spelled “sherbet/sharbat”) is a sweet syrup concentrate (in this case herbal) that you dilute in water (or soda) to make a cooling drink.

  • The “nannari” in its name refers to Indian sarsaparilla (Hemidesmus indicus), a plant root that is used in traditional Indian/herbal medicine. It’s valued for its cooling, digestive, diuretic, and possibly anti‐inflammatory properties.
